Graduate supervision
Sherzod is interested in supervising graduate-level research in modern Japanese history, history of leftist ideas in Japan and East Asia, international and transnational history of the Cold War (globally and in East Asia), Soviet system of labor camps, and similar subjects.
He is especially interested in working with students with a strong command of foreign languages and who are interested in archival research.
